Project Days "School in Europe, Europe in school"

The Centre for International Services have invited kindergartens, basic schools and secondary schools to take part in a competition to design the best Project Day dealing with the “School in Europe, Europe in School” topic. The objective of the project days was to engage in creative ways of presenting Europe to pupils, teachers and guests and to motivate them to participate in European educational programmes.

As part of each project day agenda the teachers and guests were provided with information about the Lifelong Learning Programme initiated by the European Commission. The programme facilitates cooperation between schools and makes it possible for both teachers and pupils to meet, inspire each other and learn jointly within Europe.

The project days were organised across the Czech Republic in October and November 2012. The schools focused, above all, on presenting the cultures and languages of European countries. The project atmosphere pervaded the life of the schools and all those present could take part in creative workshops, quizzes and competitions. The event was complemented by educational activities concerning Europe that had been prepared by the staff of the Centre for International Services.
